Eleanor Marie (Wallem) Yabsley, 87, of Earlville, IL passed away Monday, October 28, 2013 in Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa, IL. She was born April 23, 1926 in Ottawa, IL the daughter of Olaf and Ellen (Jorpeland ) Wallem. She married Dr. F.G. Yabsley in 1951. Together they ran the veterinarian business in Earlville, IL for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Earlville and enjoyed singing in the Choir for many years.
She is survived by one son, Frank (Phyllis) Yabsley of Yorkville, IL; two daughters, Ellen (Garry) Hessenberger of Sandwich, IL and Rebecca (Dennis) Maloy of Scottsdale, AZ; three granddaughters, Kara, Jenna and Krista Yabsley of Yorkville and one grandson, Bryce Hessenberger of Charleston, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Dr. F.G. Yabsley, her sisters, Esther Hall and Betty Stone, brothers, Harold and Otis Wallem.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Precinct Cemetery in Rural Earlville with Rev. Tammy Anderson officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich. Memorials may be directed to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Earlville.
