Elbert F. "Duke" Wessman, age 77, of Sandwich, IL passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich. He was born March 13, 1933 in Chicago, IL the son of Edwin and Ellen Erickson Wessman. He married Lois Brehm on April 13, 1957 in Chicago, IL. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Somonauk, IL.
He is survived by his wife Lois of Sandwich; three sons, Rod (Laura) Wessman of Chicago, IL; Brad (Deborah) Wessman of Aurora, IL. and Rick Wessman of Sandwich, IL; eight grandchildren; one brother Edwin (Alice) Wessman of Oak Forest, IL; his extended family and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
