Earl E. Todd, 88, of Earlville, IL passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 in Jefferson County Missouri as the result of an automobile accident. He was born October 27, 1926 in Waterman, IL the son of Clarence David and Nellie Ann (Wood) Todd. Earl married Shirley Snyder on October 15, 1954 in Chicago, IL. He was a member of the Earlville United Presbyterian Church, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WW II. Earl worked as an automobile mechanic at Todd’s Auto Repair in Earlville for many years. He enjoyed playing cards, horseshoes, fishing, going to Arkansas and most of all spending time with his family and many friends.
He is survived by one daughter, Donna (Joseph) Anderson of Hardy, AR; one son, Larry (Bev) Todd of Earlville; 4 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Margie Pasley of Compton, IL and Harriet (Gerald) Walsh of Serena, IL and one brother David “Bud” (Betty) Todd of Ottawa, IL and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley, two brothers, Kenneth Charles Todd and John I. Todd and one granddaughter, Angela Anderson.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Earlville United Presbyterian Church in Earlville with Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Burial of his urn will follow in Precinct Cemetery rural Earlville. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2015 in the church.
