Our mother, Dorothy Twait, left us on May 15, 2022. Her friends and family were the love of her life. Dorothy was one of the last of her generation. For several years Dot has been having fun at Jennings Terrace Senior Living Facility in Aurora, IL. Dot was a “people person” and loved to keep busy. She was always ready for the group exercise, games, sitting in the sun, and shopping. She loved meeting new friends for friendly conversation.
Dot’s mom, Lulu Marvin raised her 5 children as a single mother. In the 1930’s ran the streets with her two brothers and two sisters in Oswego, IL. They walked or biked to “the big house” on Grove Rd. to the Jericho Farm to play with an extended family including uncles, cousins and her grandma Clara Jericho.
In 1968, with just one child at home Dot made the move. It was time to go to work and spend her money, her way. Dot worked at Anchor Brush and CTS Knights until 1996.
After Ron and Dot raised their children , they enjoyed traveling, dinner with friends in Oswego and at their home in Lake Delavan. Dot and Ron raised 5 children; Tari, Gary, Rich (deceased), Diane and Rhonda. They have 12 grandchildren and 9 greats. A good life!!!
