Dorothy Mae Figgins, 86, of Millington passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Sandwich Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sandwich. She was born November 19, 1929 in Danway, IL, the daughter of Archie and Laura Fargo Williamson. She married Roger Figgins on May 28, 1950 in California. Dorothy was a member of Millington United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, country music, dancing, wind chimes and her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters, Deborah Casey of Millington, IL, Linda Weir of Sandwich, IL, Brenda Kastner of Westmont, IL and Sandy Figgins of Millington, IL; two sons, James Figgins of Sheridan, IL and Arthur Brenda Figgins of Plano, IL; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister, Betty Coppes of Yorkville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Robert Williamson.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk with Pastor Lora Zink officiating. Burial will follow at Millington-Newark Cemetery in Millington. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the funeral home in Somonauk. Memorials may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
