Doris Carol Peidlow

Doris Carol Peidlow, of Sandwich IL passed away Sunday, February 1, 2009 peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. She was born December 19, 1951 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy Jean (Wright) Maier. She married Michael Peidlow on June 22, 1970 in Stevensville, MI. She graduated from Plano High School with the Class of 1970 and attended Waubonsee Community College. She was a manager for Gas Mart in Sandwich for 13 years. Her life revolved around her husband, children, and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed working in her garden and feeding the squirrels.

She is survived by her husband Michael, her three daughters Patricia (John) Bach of Olney, IL, Michelle (Kevin) Larson of Waterman, IL, Elizabeth (Tim) Curtis of Sandwich, IL; twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren, her mother, Jean Maier of Wappingers Falls, NY; one brother, Dale (Eve) Maier of Lancaster, CA; three sisters Donna (Michael) Kimmey, Jr. of Plano, IL, Devonna Maier, of Lone Tree, CO, and Deanna (Bill) Adams of Wappingers Falls, NY; two aunts, Margretta Maier of Plano, IL and Lois Wright of Etiwanda, CA; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk with Rev. John William Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 6, 2009 at the funeral home in Somonauk. Memorial may be directed to DeKalb County Hospice or Valley West Community Hospital.
