Donald D. Pew, 71, of Mesa, AZ passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 in Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, IL. He was born October 9, 1942 in Wauseon, OH the son of Lester and Leona (Theile) Pew. He was a member of Desert Heritage Church in Mesa, AZ, First Christian Church of Watseka, former Past President of Watseka Jaycees. Donald enjoyed his church affiliations, hiking, roses and the Chicago Cubs.
He is survived by one daughter Stephanie (Joe) Stralka of Leland, IL; his former wife Virginia Pargmann of Mesa, AZ; six grandchildren, Megan, Milena, Logan and Luke Stralka, Lori McDaniel and Brittney (Mat) Hesse; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Jean (Gene) Feltstehausen of Hoopeston, IL and Nancy Mathews of Indianapolis, IN; and one brother-in-law Cy Marcum of Stockland, IL; one sister-in-law, Connie Pew of Watseka, IL and several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Helen Marcum and one brother Dorance Pew.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2014 at Baier Funeral Home 102 West Oak Street in Watseka, IL with Pastor Wayne Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 10th until the time of services in the funeral home in Watseka. Memorials may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
