Diane Lee Bronner (Bogathy), 63, of Mendota, Illinois formerly of Earlville, IL, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Mendota Lutheran Home from cancer, surrounded by her family. She was lovingly cared for by family and friends. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 18,1955. She was the daughter of Constance and George F. Bogathy of Downers Grove, Illinois. She is survived by her children, Shannon Bronner (daughter), Rachel Bronner (daughter), and Matthew Bronner (son); Shalylnn Gastel (granddaughter), Chase Partee (grandson), Charles Kaufman (grandson), Gabriel Ramirez (grandson), Chloe Gastel (great granddaughter); Cheryl Daskas (sister), Stephen Bogathy (brother), Evon Kishi (sister), Susan Bogathy (sister); Rosemarie Bogathy (aunt), Peggy Mace (aunt), and many friends.
She was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Earlville where she loved singing in the choir. Diane was also a member of Mendota Elks Lodge #1212. She worked at Sullivan's Foods where she loved her customers and her coworkers. She loved her dog, Missy Elizabeth. She loved decorating her home for holidays. She graduated from IVCC in 2015 with a degree in business technology.
A celebration of life service will be held at United Presbyterian Church at 620 S. Ottawa St., Earlville, Illinois on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Dell Keilman will be officiating the service. Visitation will begin from 10 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the church with a service and reception to follow immediately. These are a few of Diane's favorite passages: In the scripture, John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not parish, but have eternal life." II Timothy 4:6-7 says "For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my department has come. For I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith." Philippians 4:13 says "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mendota Lutheran Home and Divine Hospice Care of Yorkville.
