Delores A. Johnson, 65, of Leland, formally of Plano, IL passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Alden of Waterford in Aurora, IL. She was born February 16, 1947 in Sandwich, IL the daughter of Howard and Neoma (Cole) Fultz. She married Ronald E. Johnson on September 25, 1965 in Rollo, IL. Delores was the bar manager at Plano American Legion for over 13 years and a diehard Chicago White Sox fan. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her many friends.
She is survived by three children: Aaron (Kathy) Johnson of Huntley, IL, Tammy (Larry) Michael of Leland, IL and Marc (Kara) Johnson of Plano, IL; seven grandchildren: Anastasia and Daniel Johnson, Daniel and Haley Michael, Brianna, Addison and Cooper Johnson; two brothers: David (Sue) Fultz of Herscher, IL and Rodney (Christine) Fultz of Shabbona, IL; two sisters: Sharon (Dennis) Wood of Mendota, IL and Linda (David) Houghtby of Livonia, MI; one sister-in-law: Linda (Chuck) Hickey; one brother-in-law: Roger Johnson; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ronald and one brother, Howard, Jr. in infancy.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL with Pastor Jim Allen officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
