Delores Mary Houlne, 83, of Yorkville, IL passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Hillside Rehab & Care Center in Yorkville. She was born April 18, 1930 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Norman and Theresa (Erath) Sherwin. She married John Louis Houlne on May 21, 1955 in Aurora, IL.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plano where she served as an Eucharist Minister for the sick. She was an active member with the Legion of Mary C.C.W. and the Prayer Group Blue Army at St. Mary’s. Delores was a retired typist and file clerk. Her greatest love was her family and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen (Ronald) Hatton of Sandwich, IL; two sons, Robert Houlne of Morris, IL, Kenneth Houlne of Batavia, IL; Seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Sara, Jacob and Katelyn Houlne and Karl (Kim) Hatton, David and Rick Hatton and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, William Groll, her husband, one daughter Deborah Houlne and her brother Elmer Sherwin.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plano, IL, with Father Michael Callea M.I.C. officiating. Burial will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday April 2, 2014 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home, 3952 Turner Ave. Plano, IL.
