Darlene Jean Helling

Darlene Jean Helling, 77, of Plano passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at her home. She was born November 17, 1939 in Peru, IL, the daughter of Frederick and Viola Ehrmann Gualandi. She married Glen A. Helling on June 10, 1958 in Belvidere, IL. Darlene was a member of Plano Christian Church, and Central Christian Church of Ocala, FL. Darlene enjoyed golfing, go carts, fishing, but her greatest love of all was her family.
She is survived by her husband, Glen of Plano, IL; one daughter, Judy Terry Murley of Sandwich, IL; two sons, James Violet Helling of Sheridan, IL and Frederick Helling of Plano, IL; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Cindy Clapper; one son-in-law, Lonnie Clapper; and one brother, Donald Gualandi.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2017 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL, with Pastor Stan L. Motley officiating. Burial will follow at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, IL. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2017 in the funeral home until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Plano Christian Church.
