Dan D. Bernard, Jr.

Dan D. Bernard, Jr. ,59, of Earlville, IL passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 16, 1957 in Aurora, IL the son of Dan D. and Juanita Garrow Bernard, Sr. He married Rhonda S. Elliott on March 24, 1990 in Las Vegas, NV. Dan was a farmer for his whole life and enjoyed the FFA where he served as president, he had a great passion for show cattle which he received numerous awards. He loved hauling livestock to the Chicago Stock Yards with his uncles and father. But his greatest love of all was for his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda of Earlville, IL, his mother, Juanita Bernard of Sheridan, IL; one son Dan M. Bernard and one daughter Megan L. Bernard both of Earlville, IL, one brother Barry Patricia Bernard of Leland, IL, one sister Jennifer Michael Mahumed of Cortland, IL, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents Laurine and Cuba Garrow and Dan E. and Leona Bernard.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL, with Pastor Zach Baer officiating. Burial will follow in Little Indian Creek Cemetery rural Leland, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2016 At Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL.
