Dale L. Goldman, 91, of Somonauk passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born May 26, 1922 in Somonauk the son of Orval and Della (Osborne) Goldman. He married Jean L. Castner in 1946 in Bloomington. Dale enjoyed farming, collecting toys, having coffee with his buddies at the Country Kitchen but his greatest love of all was his family and dog Honey.
He is survived by one daughter, Susan (Frank) Slas of Somonauk, IL; three sons, Cary (Trudie) Goldman of Plano, IL, Randy (Ursula) Goldman of Serena, IL and Rick (Karen) Goldman of Clermont, FL; nine grandchildren, Natalie, Christopher, Marissa, Jennifer, Cassandra, Elizabeth, Erik, Skyler and Megan; six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and three sisters
Private graveside services will be held at Northville Cemetery in rural Sheridan. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk. Memorials may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
