Cynthia Ramona Apodaca, 72, of Earlville passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich. She was born November 19, 1942 in Peoria, the daughter of Benjamin and Dorothy (Thomas) Casey. She married Joe Apodaca on May 6, 1961 in North Aurora. She was a member of the Aurora Art League. Art and books were a major part of her life, and she looked forward to their vacations in Naples, Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Joe of Earlville, IL; six children, Delores (Charles) George of Waterman, IL, Joe (Cheri) Apodaca of Hinckley, IL, Vickie (Dave Janda) Apodaca of Broomfield, CO, Jane (Peter) Pabon of St. Charles, IL, Scott Apodaca of Wilmington, NC and Tammy (Brian) Russell of Sandwich, IL; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Guyman of Peoria, IL and Joyce Lyons of Pekin, IL; two brothers, Ben (Linda) Casey of Peoria, IL and Tom Casey of Morton, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday January 1, 2015 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk with Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Grove Cemetery rural Waterman, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday December 31, 2014 at the funeral home in Somonauk.
