CoraValine Mae Forrer, 79, of Somonauk passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at her home. She was born July 22, 1936 in Paw Paw Township, the daughter of Robert and Helen Osland Todd. She married Raymond L. Forrer, Jr. on April 14, 1957 in Paw Paw Township. Cora was a member of Bureau Valley Antique Club, 2 bowling leagues, Monday noon and Wednesday afternoon leagues and Union Congregational Church. She enjoyed mothering everyone, animals included. Cora loved to fix things but her greatest love of all was her family.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond of Somonauk, IL; three daughters, Lucinda Bart Higdon of Leland, IL, Khristina Vahl of Serena, IL and Karen Daniel Bark of Sandwich, IL; one son, Raymond “Buddy” Forrer, III of Shabbona, IL; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister, Sharon Wade of Winton, CA; one brother, Allen Sue Todd of Taylor Ridge, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Robert, James, Jerry and Richard Todd, one daughter-in-law, Dawn Forrer and one son-in-law, Lonny Vahl.
Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Pastor Chuck Maney officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the funeral home in Somonauk. Memorials may be directed to the family.
