Cody "Mighty Fine" Moore, 86, of Lake Holiday, Somonauk, IL, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008 in Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford, IL suddenly. He was born January 8, 1922 in Edmonton, Kentucky the son of Robert and Emily Moore. He married Irene L. Lass on December 27, 1957 in Chicago, IL. He was a member of Sheridan United Methodist Church, Sandwich Moose Lodge #1016. He spent many years in the restaurant and bar business in Hickory Hills, Somonauk, and Sheridan. He also ran a landscaping business for several years. Cody's wit, humor, and unique personality will be greatly missed by his loved ones and many friends. He was a "Mighty Fine" person.
He is survived by his loving wife, Irene of 50 years; four sons, Robert (Kate) Moore of Orland Park, IL, Bob (Kathie) Moore of Las Cruces, NM, Don (Jackie) Moore of Tinley Park, IL and David Moore of Dekalb, IL; three daughters, Linda (Rich) Belpedio of Orland Park, IL, Debbie (Peter) Taubenheim of Woodinville, WA and Diana (Dan) Lubic of Yorkville, IL; eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
