Clarence “Ray” Hutchison, 94, of Big Rock, IL passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 9, 1930 in Moko, Arkansas. The son of Birk and Cecil (Ward) Hutchison. He married Kathleen “Kay” Williams on November 27, 1959 in Aurora, IL. and were married for 64 years. Ray was in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955, proudly serving in the Korean War. Ray and Kay raised their children in Big Rock, IL. Ray worked at Caterpillar in Montgomery for over 30 years. After Ray retired, he and his wife Kay moved to Mountain Home, AR building their house together in which they settled in for more than 30 years. Ray and Kay enjoyed traveling the world together and spending time at the lake. They moved back to Big Rock, IL to be closer to their family.
He is survived by their children, Brian (Dianna) Hutchison of Warrenville, IL., Karen (Scott) Phillips of Big Rock, IL.; one son-in-law James Mannion of Yorkville, IL.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kay, and one daughter Sheri Mannion.
