Clarabelle M. Lemke

Clarabelle M. Lemke, 86, Somonauk, formerly of Sandwich, IL passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at her home in Somonauk, IL. She was born February 21, 1927 in Wakeeney, KS the daughter of Vernie and Mary (Lamle) Englert. She married Howard S. Lemke on December 12, 1952 in Sandwich, IL. Clarabelle proudly worked in housekeeping at the Sandwich Hospital for over 40 years. She enjoyed visiting with the ladies at the Somonauk Garden Apartments. Clarabelle’s greatest love was spending time with her great grandbabies.

She is survived by one son James (Alice) Lemke, Sr. of Earlville, IL; Four grandchildren, James (Malia) Lemke, Jr. of Gaston, SC, Jesse (Angie) Lemke of Somerset, KY and Candy Lemke of Columbia, KY, Justin Lemke of Earlville, IL and Amanda (Marc) Stallings of Mendota, IL; four great grandchildren, Gracie of Gaston, SC, Jason of Columbia, KY, Jonathan of Columbia, KY and Ayden of Mendota, IL; two brothers, LaVerne Englert of Fountain Valley, CA and DeWayne Englert of Carbondale, IL; two nephews, Craig and Kyle Englert.

She was preceded in death her parents, her husband, Howard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL, with Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Burial of her urn will take please at a later date in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the funeral home in Sandwich.
