Christopher M. Scholes, 34, of Plano passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 16, 2020. He was born March 1, 1986 in Sandwich, IL, the son of Michael A. and Annette B. (Peschel) Scholes. He married Megan Ballantyne on February 23, 2012 in FL. Christopher loved and adored his kids tremendously. Even though he had a tough exterior, he was a really sweet, sensitive, and fun-loving man. He was willing to help anyone do anything at any time. Christopher enjoyed working with his hands, he made his daughter’s crib, the family kitchen set, and outdoor furniture, and always tinkered with projects around the house. Even after death, he is making a difference by being an organ donator.
He is survived by his wife, Megan of Joliet, IL; his parents, Michael and Annette of Plano, IL; his children, Brayden, Jamison, and Londyn; grandmothers, Caecilia Peschel of Plano, IL and Shirley Scholes of Olive Branch, MS; three aunts, Lisa (Rich) Owens of Plano, IL, Denise (Jack Martner) Marr of Grayslake, IL, and Terri (Weldon) Woods of Cordova, TN; his cousins, Marc, Kellie, Paul, Josh, Tim, and Seth.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Hubert Peschel and Allen Scholes.
A Celebration of Christopher’s Life will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL, with Pastor Cynthia Anderson officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the funeral home in Plano. Burial will be at a later date at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, 111 W.
