Christopher Kirby, 13, of Yorkville, IL passed away Monday, July 13, 2009 at his home. He was born August 30, 1995 in Ottawa, IL, the son of Mark and Jeannie Franklin Kirby. He formerly attended schools in Mendota and Earlville and was currently a student at Yorkville Middle School entering into 8th grade. He enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, X-Box 360 and PS2.
He is survived by his parents, Jeannie (Bryan Nelson) Kirby of Yorkville and Mark Kirby of Sugar Grove; two brothers, Anthony (Nicole Jones) Franklin of Yorkville and Jacob Miskell of Ottawa; his niece, Sierra Franklin of Yorkville; two uncles, Mike (Casandra) Franklin, Jr. and Joe Franklin of Peoria; one aunt, Patricia Strope of Aurora; his grandparents, Joanne Kirby of Sandwich, Mike (Margaret) Franklin, Sr. of Peoria, Donna (Dean) Irelan of Michigan and Richard (Terri) Nelson of Leland; great grandparents, Paul (Nellie) Bruggemann, Sr. of Sandwich; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alan Kirby and his great grandparents, Roy and Etta Jacobson and his cousin, Brittany Stearns.
