Chase Dustin Hires, 31, of Chicago, IL passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 in Chicago. He was born September 18, 1985 in Overland Park, KS, the son of Roger Hires and Kay Hires Bronson. Chase was an avid Kansas Jayhawk fan. He loved music, artwork, golf, traveling and taking pictures. Chase also enjoyed riding his bicycle through the streets of downtown Chicago and kayaking. He was employed by DevMynd Design Software Company. Chase had an over abundance of friends who also adored him and a very loving family.
He is survived by his mother, Kay and his stepfather, Jack Bronson of Yorkville, IL; one sister, Nakia Kay Hires of Wheeling, IL; his nephew, Summit Foster and his niece, Maevi Noel; two stepbrothers, Jeremiah Janci Bronson of Ames, IA and Daniel Bronson of Newton, KS; his maternal grandmother, Violet Gehrke of Minneapolis, KS; his paternal grandfather, Jack Hires of Overland Park, KS; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Hires, his paternal grandmother, Joan Hires, and his maternal grandfather, Leon Gehrke.
Visitation will beheld from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS. Private graveside services will be in Delphos Cemetery, Delphos, KS. Memorials may be directed to the family. Cremation Rites were accorded to Turner-Eighner Funeral Home.
