Charles N. Winemiller

Charles N. Winemiller, 83, of Sandwich, IL passed away, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at his home. He was born March 11, 1931 in Adrian, WV the son of Stamen J. and Marjorie R.(Hyre) Winemiller. He married Mable Martin on November 19, 1953 she passed away January 11, 1984, he later married Carol Sue Gilbertson on August 25, 1985 she passed away July 25, 1989. Charles was a member of the Plano American Legion Post # 395, he was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, nature, baseball and walking at Silver Springs Park.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Kathy (Edward Pifkin) Winemiller of Sandwich; three granddaughters, Tracy (Aaron) Wahlgren of Leland, Kassandra (James) Decker of Corinth, MS and Angela (Aaron) Laho of Big Rock; seven great grandchildren, Michael Livingston, Wesley Wahlgren, Mylie, Zac and Alli Decker, Cody and Abby Laho; one brother Doug (Ann) Wentz of Brandon, MS and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his two wives, one brother Burton Winemiller and one niece Hazel Winemiller.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until the Memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL, with Chaplain Dee Clark M.Div. officiating. Burial of his urn will follow in Little Rock Township Cemetery Plano, IL. Memorials may be directed to the Family.
