Charles Vogt, 82, of Plano, IL, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024, peacefully at home in Plano, IL. He was born January 28, 1942, in Hawesville, KY, the son of Charles O. Vogt and Anna Laura Vogt Gross. He married Dianne Riggs/Wilson on September 17, 1971, in Aurora, IL. Charles worked for many years as a Tool and Die maker at All-Steel in Aurora, then went to Borg-Warner in Frankfort. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Charlie loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid NASCAR and Indy Race fan and loved Sunday’s watching football with his dear wife. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne L. (Riggs) Vogt of Plano, IL; his children, Ken (Kerri) Wilson of Yorkville, IL, Tracey Liu of Los Angeles, CA, and his son-in-law, Todd Cosentino of Sandwich, IL; his grandchildren, Amy (Craig) Whisenant of Yorkville, IL, Jason (Erika Miller) Wilson of Aurora, IL, Beth (Alberto) Rodriquez of Plano, IL, Jamie Benavides of Oswego, IL, Jennifer (Robert) Hillgoth of Oswego, IL, Maegan Walker of Plano, IL, Matt Cosentino of Romeoville, IL, Damian Yates of Plano, IL, Elsie Praeger of Scottsdale, AZ, Czara Lui of Los Angeles, CA; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; his siblings, Terry (Pat) Vogt of Aurora, IL, Joe (Amy) Vogt of SC, and Hope Corum Olson of Hanover Park, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Katherine D. Cosentino and Alana K. Yates, his siblings, Dianne (Roger) Boring, Tim Vogt, and Cindy Yarbrough.
