Charles F. Theurer, 72, of Leland, Illinois passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich, IL. He was born July 8, 1939 in Aurora, IL the son of William and Vienetta (Wilkinson) Theurer. He married Rosalie Popp on March 24, 1962 in Oswego, IL. Charles was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed fishing, building radio controlled models and especially spending time with his family.
Cremation rites were accorded and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL.
He is survived by his wife Rosalie of Leland; four sons, Chuckie (Rhonda) Theurer of Leland, IL, Jeff (Sandy Kozlowski) Theurer of Earlville, IL, Matt (Becky) Theurer of Sandwich, IL and Danny (Amanda) Theurer of Leland, IL; 13 grandchildren, Amanda (Patrick) Torman, Ryan Theurer, Amber Theurer, Garrett Theurer, Jacob Theurer, Madyson Theurer, Arlowyne Theurer, Kyle Theurer, Jack Theurer, Preston Theurer, Drew Theurer, Jace Theurer and Emily Unterberg; two great grandsons, Jackson and Miles Torman; one sister-in-law, Martina Theurer of West Brooklyn, IL and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, Shirley, Betty Lou, Mary Ann, Joyce and Carol; one brother, Billy Theurer, one brother-in-law, Alvin “Big Al” Popp.
