Charles L. Spoonmore

Charles L. Spoonmore, 86, of Minooka, formally of Sandwich, IL passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at his home in Minooka, IL. He was born November 6, 1938 in Sullivan, IN the son of Garland and Helen (Ladson) Spoonmore. He worked at Caterpillar in Montgomery, IL for 30 years. He attended the family of Faith Christian Academy in Channahon, IL for many years. He enjoyed bowling and was always ready for an auto race. Most of all, spending time with his family, especially watching his grandsons race their cars.

Charles is survived by his children, Garland “Spoon” (Penni) Spoonmore of Somonauk, IL, Jim (Christy) Spoonmore of LaSalle, IL, Tammy (Joe) Dougherty of Ottawa, IL, Joe (Laura) Spoonmore of Sandwich, IL, Becky (Mike) Goodbred of Earlville, IL; step-daughter, Renea Fry of Mississippi; two special grandchildren, Teana and Zach Williams; and several grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, one son, Charles Spoonmore; and his wife Jacquelynne.
