Charles M. Laury, Sr. 77, of Plano, IL passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born August 1, 1935 in Chicago, IL the son of Everett and Erma (Lewis) Laury. He married Edna M. Harris on December 29. 1970 in Bismarck, IL. He served in the U. S. Army Reserves, and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan. He was a sales representative for Prairie State / Select Sires for over 30 years of Hampshire, IL. Charles was a member of the Plano United Methodist Church in Plano. He raised Ayrshire Cattle and enjoyed showing them at many county and state fairs.

He is survived by his wife Edna of Plano, IL; one daughter, Sharyn Thurston of Danville, IL; two sons, Charles (Samantha) Laury Jr. of Ottawa, IL and John (Tanya) Laury of Danville, IL; 13 grandchildren, two brothers, Everett Laury of Danville and Robert Laury of Mason, TX, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Sharyl, and one grandson, Aaron.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Plano United Methodist Church, with Pastor Kent Svendsen officiating. According to Charles’s wishes there will be no visitation. Arrangements were entrusted to Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
