Charles Cramer, age 75, of St. Joseph passed away at 9:35 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, at St. Joseph United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mark Harris officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Freese Funeral Home, 302 E. Grand Ave., St. Joseph.
Chuck was born Jan. 1, 1935, in Danville, the son of Earl and Marie Jones Cramer. He married Shirley Eighner on June 20, 1981, in Champaign. She survives.
Also surviving are five children, Melissa (Rick) Wallace of Evansville, Ind., Katherine Cramer and Char (Tony) Conner, both of Champaign, Mary Jo Miller of Urbana and Chuck Cramer of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren, Ryan Cramer, Bryan Cramer, Michelle Miller, Megan Miller and Scott Bloomfield; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Cramer, Hileah Cramer and Morgan Cramer; and one brother, Merle Cramer of Tilton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Chuck was a member of United Methodist Church St. Joseph. He retired from Super Value after 27 years. He enjoyed being with his family and traveling. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Reserves.
