Charlene L. Denault, 88, of Somonauk, Illinois passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich. She was born May 18, 1928 in LaSalle County Illinois the daughter of Richard and Nina Parisot Dreishmire. She married Harold L. Denault on September 3, 1949 in Somonauk, IL. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk, The Somonauk Junior Women’s Club and served on the Somonauk Library Board. Charlene served as an Avon Representative for 40 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Carla Cummings of Somonauk, IL, Beth Swanie Swanson of Sandwich, IL and Lori Vince Guratsky of Cheyanne, WY; seven grandchildren, Brad, Brett, Jeff, Dan, Jamie, Caitlyn and Luke; 13 great grandchildren; one sister Marcille Voss of Somonauk, IL, two sisters-in-law, Sally Dreishmire of Plano, IL, Pat Kossert of Aurora, IL, one brother-in-law, Dale Denault of Mendota, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Gary Denault, one brother, David Dreishmire and one sister, Izy Parrish.
Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 320 S. Depot St. Somonauk, IL with Father Kevin Butler officiating. Burial of her urn will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery Somonauk, IL. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m., Tuesday. September 27, 2016 in the church until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to Open Door of Sandwich or St. Labre Indian School.
