Charleen L. James, 75, of Okeechobee, FL passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, FL. She was born June 30, 1942 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of James R. and Mary Louise Turner Clements. She married Allen Darrel James on May 21, 1960 in Divernon, IL. Charleen enjoyed gardening, reading books, journaling, and flower arranging. She collected dolls and figurines. Charleen was a seamstress at one time making her own clothes and clothes for her children. She was a huge fan of QVC & HSN shopping channels and frequently ordered items from them. Charleen enjoyed hosting family gatherings. She really enjoyed 4:00 coffee hour with friends and especially her friend and neighbor, Betty Kessler. Charleen loved her animals but most of all she dearly loved the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Janet Tim Bowman of Taylorville, IL, Brenda Kenneth Lee of Chatham, IL, and Chari Bill Boetta of Mineral, VA; two sons, Allen D. Judy James, Jr. of Virden, IL and Darren Lisa James of Alexander, IL; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Kathye Siefert, Carole Atchison, and Betty Clements, one brother, James Robert Clements, and one nephew, Steven Atchison.
