Cathryn S. Krafft, 82, of Sandwich, IL passed away August 14, 2012. She was born December 12, 1929 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Louis and Iona (Evans) Haubold. She married Andrew G. Krafft on January 8, 1949 in Sandwich. Cathryn was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church. She was formerly employed by Holland’s Drug Store in Sandwich for 20 years. She was the head cashier retiring in 1986. She was an avid reader, she planned the family vacations and loved traveling. She went to Switzerland, Hawaii and Alaska. Cathryn helped when she could on the farm raising chicks and pigs and driving tractors.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy (Fred) Hayes of Leland; four sons, Steven (Denise) Krafft of Leland, Michael Krafft of Princeton, David Krafft of Sandwich, Andrew J. (Dorothy) Krafft of Sycamore; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Bickerton of AZ, Shirley Crow of MI; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother Louis Haubold, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Salem Lutheran Church in Sandwich, IL with the Pastor Wayne Derber officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Mound Cemetery in Somonauk. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 18th at the church until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to Salem Lutheran Church, Sandwich, IL.
