Catherine Marie Glover

Catherine (Wolsfelt) Glover, 58, of Earlville, Illinois, passed away on July 29, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born to the late James and Patricia Wolsfelt, Cathy was a devoted wife, passionate quilter, and cherished friend to many.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dale Glover, whom she married on March 11, 1988. She is also survived by her brothers Larry (Sandy) Wolsfelt and Jeff Wolsfelt; her sisters-in-law Carol (John) Visocky, Mary Hales, Betty Glover, Sharon (Jerry) Doerksen, and Kathleen McMaster; and her brother-in-law Gerry Glover.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Patricia Wolsfelt, and her sister-in-law Diane (Kalon) Majors.

Cathy graduated from Somonauk High School and attended Black Hawk East College, where she began building the foundation for a life marked by hard work and creativity.

For 29 years, Cathy worked at Illinois Office Supply in Ottawa, Illinois. Most recently, she brought her dedication and warmth to UpNorth Printing in Addison, Illinois.

Cathy’s true passion was quilting. She was deeply involved in the quilting community—not only as a talented Longarm quilter, but also as a teacher, lecturer, and AQS-certified quilt appraiser. She loved sharing her knowledge and creativity through classes and lectures, and she cherished the friendships formed through her quilting circles.

Cathy’s vibrant spirit, generous heart, and love for fabric and friendship will be remembered always.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, Illinois. Burial will be private at a later date.
