Carole Denman

September 15, 1937 — March 15, 2015

Carole Denman, 77, of Bourbonnais, IL passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 15, 1937 in Aurora, the daughter of Clarion and Lurena (Ingham) Bergeson. She married Roger Denman on September 16, 1955 in Waterman, IL at Waterman United Methodist Church. Carole was a member of Waterman United Methodist Church and Third Avenue Methodist Church in Big Rapids, MI. She was very passionate about art, she attended The Art Institute in Chicago and later taught individuals from her home. Carole enjoyed bowling and was a gifted seamstress and artist, though humble about her talents. She had many great times camping with family and friends in Michigan. Her greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by her husband, Roger of Bourbonnais, IL; one daughter, Lori Panici of Bourbonnais, IL; two sons, William Denman of Bourbonnais, IL and Richard (Lynn Goddard) Denman of Maquoketa, IA; three grandchildren, Trevor (Kelsi Graves), Dylan and Wyatt; one great grandchild, Dawson; one brother, Robert (Shirley) Bergeson of Kirkland, IL; sister-in-law, Beverly Anderson of Somonauk, IL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Bergeson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich with Reverend Michelle Prentice-Leslie officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the funeral home in Sandwich. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Open Door Rehabilitation in Sandwich, IL, Salvation Army or Alzheimer’s Association.
