Carol A. Campbell, 70, of Sandwich, IL passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich. She was born July 26, 1943 in Pinckneyville, IL the daughter of Arta Ray and Jewell Eleanor (Keeling) Gladson. She married Elmer Campbell on March 24, 1962 in Pinckneyville, IL. Carol was a member of the Nazarene Church of Sandwich. She worked at CTS Knights for 29 years, was also employed at Sandwich Hospital and Wal-Mart until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer of Sandwich, IL; two daughters, Lee Ann Campbell of Naperville, IL and Leslie Lynn (Dwain) Larson of Sandwich, IL; two grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Larson and Jamie Lee Larson; one sister, Norma (Wayne) Meyer of Percy, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son in infancy, one sister, Dorothy Estes, two brothers, Leonard and Russell.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich with Pastor Mark Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014 at the funeral home in Sandwich. Casual dress preferred. Memorials may be directed to the Nazarene Church of Sandwich or the American Diabetes Foundation.
