Brian Neidigh, 49, of Leland, IL passed away on November 29, 2015. He died in his home with his wife and children by his side after a difficult battle with cancer.
Brian was born on May 23, 1966 in Aurora, IL to Scott and Patricia Neidigh. He was raised in Big Rock and Sandwich where he graduated from high school. Brian graduated from the University of Illinois with a Mechanical Engineering Degree in 1988. He was united in marriage to Tara Rankin on December 30, 2000. Brian has worked for the last several years as an engineer for Performance Gear Systems out of Plainfield, IL. He made his home in Leland, IL with his wife Tara and two children, Max and Abby. Brian enjoyed working on various car projects in his beloved building and attended many car shows with his dad and son. He was a dedicated, loving husband and father. Brian was very proud of Max and Abby’s athletic accomplishments and attended games and/or coached sports teams throughout the years. He was a loyal friend to many.
Brian is survived by his wife, Tara; his son, Maxwell; his daughter, Abigail; father, Scott Cheryl Neidigh of Sandwich, IL; mother, Patricia Ireland of Oblong, IL; brothers and sister, Joe Lisa Neidigh of Jasper, MO, Kim Gary Jansen of Sandwich, IL, Doug Lynn Neidigh of Springfield, MO; step-sister, Stacy Chuck Collins of Eagle, CO; step-brothers, Erik Krissy King of Sandwich, IL and Mike King of Somonauk, IL; father-in-law, Roger Bonny Rankin of Somonauk, IL; mother-in-law, Nancy Rankin of Meredisia, IL; sisters-in-law, Amy Johnson of Sandwich, IL and Lori Wayne Moore of Shorewood, IL; step-sister-in-law, Vicki John Koester of Aurora, IL; step-brother-in-law, Michael Michelle Vermeland of Aurora, IL and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Union Congregational Church in Somonauk, IL with Rev. Charles Maney and Rev. Michelle Prentice-Leslie officiating.
