Brian Scott Clason, 69, of Plano passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Accent Care in Naperville, IL. He was born August 31, 1955, in Aurora, IL, the son of Thomas and Marjorie (Moore) Clason-Meyer. He married Debra Penninger in August of 1979 at the Plano Methodist Church. Brian proudly served in the US Navy from 1973 to 1978. He was a member of the Plano American Legion, Veterans Assistance Commission, Boy Scouts of America, and Salem Lutheran Church in Sandwich. Brian collected model cars, beer steins, and was a huge John Wayne fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Deb; his son, Matthew (Jenelle) Clason; his grandchildren, Kaden and Ryker; his stepfather, Richard Meyer; his siblings, Patty (Jim) Speake, Lisa (Evert) Vandermeer, and Randy (Amy) Clason; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Karen Clason.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano. A Memorial Service in Brian’s honor will follow Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Tom Burke officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
