Beverly Jean Laird

Beverly Jean Laird, 85, of Darien, IL passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 at her home surrounded by her daughters. She was born August 5, 1939 in Dearborn, MI; the daughter of Paul and Mae Bodell. She married Arthur Laird, Jr. on June 21, 1957. They were happily married for 30 years. Beverly loved reading, gardening, watching old movies and cooking shows. She also liked anything that had to do with antiques, having tea, and spending time with her best friends, Bev and Betty. She loved hosting the family gatherings for many years. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her five daughters, Linda (Dave) Fish of Coldwater, MI., Cathy (David) Ferguson of Quincy, IL., Barb (Jim) Duffy of Sheridan, IL., Laura (Scott) Benes of Plainfield, IL., and Sandy (Tom) Duffy of Sugar Grove, IL; grandchildren, Brian (Jiyeon), Amanda (Chris), Nick (Danielle), Samantha (Shane), Jim (Jessica), Sara, Matthew (Gabriella), Courtney (Justin), Taylor (Andrew), Jordan, Shawn, Nick, Joe, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Reed, Kali, Sophia, Gavin, Tanner, and Cole; and her sister Pat, and her nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother-in-law, Tom.

Bev was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by all.
