Beverly J. Delp, 82, of Yorkville, IL formerly of Somonauk, IL passed away September 26, 2021 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born January 13, 1939 in Leland, IL the daughter of Arthur E. and Florence M. (Hutter) Buckardt. She married Richard L. Delp on March 30, 2002 in Naperville, IL. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Somonauk, IL. Beverly worked for Somonauk High School as the Secretary for 25 years. She enjoyed Nascar (Dale Earnhardt), playing bingo, and was a member of the Red Hat’s Ladies Society. She avidly attended the Twinsburg Festival in Twinsburg, OH where she won many awards.
She is survived by her children, Jamie (Tom) Narron of Glasgow, MO, Penni (Garland) Spoonmore of Somonauk, IL, Angela (Chris) Goulding of Hoffman Estates, IL; her stepchildren, Robyn Adkins of Sandwich, IL, Patti (Addison) Sharpe of Mt. Vernon, IL, and Jacki Choate of Colorado; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeremy, Alesia, Charlie, and Zach; three great grandsons, Hayden, Brock, and Dominik; and her twin sister Barb (Ronald) Johnson of Leland, IL and Darlene (Marty) Nelsen of Panama City Beach, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Florence Buckardt; her husbands, Richard “Dick” Delp and Dale Briggs; and her half-brother, Glenn Jones.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Somonauk, IL with Pastor Chris Schoon officiating. Graveside service will held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday October 4, 2021 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Somonauk.
