Michael J. Mahoney, 57, of Yorkville passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at his home in Yorkville. He was born August 22, 1955 in Aurora, IL the son of William and Elizabeth (Blaney) Mahoney.
He is survived by one son, Sean Mahoney of Garden City, MI; one granddaughter, Elizabeth; two sisters, Patricia Farmer of Sandwich, IL and Maureen Strnad of Oswego, IL and several nieces and nephews. Michael was a friend of Bill W.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Marian McGava and one brother, William Mahoney.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano with Reverend Kent Svendsen officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorial may be directed to the family.
