Betty Jean Wilson, 80, of Plano, IL passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 17, 1934 in Somonauk, IL, the daughter of Leo and Grace (Elliott) Fox. She married Claire “Mouse” Wilson on February 17, 1978 in Plano, IL. She was a member of the Leon Bursen Post # 395 Auxiliary of Plano, Sandwich Women of the Moose Lodge # 1016, Aurora Bowling Association and the 500 Club. Betty was an avid bowler, loved to sew, cross-stitch and play bingo.
She is survived by two daughters, Candy (Ken) Schmidt of Plano, IL and Debby Rosenwinkel of New Braunfels, TX; ten grandchildren, Jeff (Cindy) Rosenwinkel, Julia (Stephen Dunne) Rosenwinkel, Brad Schmidt, Jarod (Rachel) Rosenwinkel, Joselyn (Sean) Martin, Justine (Todd) Hollingsworth, TJ (Robin) Schmidt, Jordan (Joanna) Rosenwinkel, Joel (Veronica) Rosenwinkel and Angie Schmidt; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice (John) Hutchinson of Lexington, KY and Ruth (Don) Wallis of Sandwich, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Leroy Fox and one sister, Gertrude Fox.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich with Father Kevin Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Mound Cemetery in Somonauk. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the funeral home in Sandwich.
