Betty G. Ridge, 76, of Earlville, IL passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 30, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born April 22, 1935 in Reedsburg, WI, the daughter of C. Stanley and Olive F. Wilson Oulman. She married Frederick A. Ridge on June 11, 1954 in Earlville, IL. Betty worked for many years as a secretary. She was also an officer at Sheridan Correctional Center as well as many years for Kleenay/Biltrite until her retirement. Since that time she had continued her love and hobbies of dolls and miniatures. For the last 12 years she enjoyed a successful web based miniature business with her daughter. She had sold her miniature quilts and knitted goods to more than thirty countries around the world.
She is survived by her four children, Fred A. Ridge of Virginia, Michael (Jennifer) Ridge of Earlville, IL, Laurie (Randall) Hudgins of North Carolina, Amy (Jeff) Schweiger of Mendota; nine grandchildren, Monica and Michelle Ridge, Megan Salazar all of Alaska, Mike and Samantha Ridge of Earlville, Matthew Williamson of New York, Tom (Joleanna) Williamson of Plano, Ben and Andrew Larson of Harding, as well as two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters.
