Betty “Jean” Anderson, 91, of Plano passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at The Tiller’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oswego. She was born December 4, 1922 in Sandwich, the daughter of George and Carrie (Ernst) Sampson. She married Andrew Vernon Anderson in April of 1945 in Plano, IL. Jean was a member of First Lutheran Church of Plano for over 70 years. She was also a member of the quilters group at the church. Jean retired from AT&T. She enjoyed quilting, socializing with family and friends. Jean also enjoyed spending time at the family cabin in Beaver Dam, WI.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol (Tom) Lee of Indianapolis, IN, Kathy (Jack) Koteles of Yorkville, IL and Connie (Don) Baker of Sandwich, IL; one son, Bill (Jayne) Anderson of Plain City, OH; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Hari of St. Charles, IL and Helen Steinkamp of TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Terry Kuehlem; two sons, Doug and Steve Anderson; one granddaughter, Kristy Smith; and one brother, Don Sampson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at First Lutheran Church in Plano with Pastor Bruce Booher officiating. Burial will follow at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the church. Memorials may be directed to the First Lutheran Church of Plano.
