     Betty L. Anderson, 85, of Millbrook, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at her home with her loving daughters by her side. She was born June 28, 1940, in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Arlene (Heath) Perkins. She married Gerald D. Anderson on September 5, 1959, in Plano, IL. Betty was a member of the Millbrook Methodist United Church. She was also a member of Home Extension with her mom, gathering with ladies enjoying the company of great friends. Betty’s father and brothers started Winding Creek Nursery in 1957, she started in the store and eventually became a part owner, continuing her passion for gardening until 2017. She also loved traveling, especially to beaches and her favorite fishing spots. Betty was incredibly talented; she always put tons of thought and effort into making special occasions perfect. Most of all Betty loved spending time with her family.

     She is survived by her daughters, Sherry (Paul) Eichelberger and Kristine Anderson both of Millbrook; her grandchildren, David Eichelberger and Brittany (Tony) Kohler both of Millbrook; her great grandchildren, Jack, Marci, Ella Jo, and Ollie; her brother-in-law, Floyd Anderson of Yorkville; her beloved cats, Nini, Sassy, Simba, and Scooter; and her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry, and her granddaughters, Rachel and Rebeka Eichelberger, her brothers, Fred (Karen) Perkins and Bill (Shelia) Perkins, her sister-in-law, Sherry Anderson, and her brother-in-law, Warren Anderson

     Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL. Funeral Services in Betty’s honor will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Millbrook United Methodist Church in Millbrook, IL, with Pastor Sharon Engert officiating. Burial will follow at Millington-Newark Cemetery in Millington, IL. Memorials may be directed to Millbrook United Methodist Church.
