Berline H. Ohme, 87, of Somonauk, IL passed away, Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich. She was born June 20, 1927 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Gustav and Agnes (Rasmussen) Johnson. She married Elyot Wesley Ohme on February 21, 1948 in Chicago. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Leland, and was involved in numerous church activities. Berline enjoyed crossword puzzles, spending time with her friends, but her greatest love of all was her family.
She is survived by two sons, Kevon (Pam) Ohme, Garry (Julie) Ohme and one daughter-in-law, Jean Ohme all of Leland, IL; ten grandchildren, Douglas, Michael, Gregory (Nicole), Christine, Kevon B., Curtis (Hollie), Kyla (Matt), Garrett, Lindsay (Jim) and Jake (Tina); nine great grandchildren; one sister-in-law Jo Malley; and one special niece Bonnie Smid.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elyot in 1993, one son Terry in 2005 and one brother Harold Johnson.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Bethany Lutheran Church 225 E. Lundy Lane in Leland, with Pastor Harold Grafe officiating. Burial will be at 12:00 noon, Sunday, May 10, 2015 in Little Indian Creek Cemetery rural Leland. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January17th in the church until the time of service.
