Becky McGee, born on September 13, 1938, in Blytheville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on May 15, 2026, in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Becky devoted many years as a secretary in the electrical construction business, a role she embraced with dedication.

She was a cherished member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk, Illinois, where her faith was a cornerstone of her life and she sang in the choir. Becky had a passion for reading, especially enjoying mystery and romance novels which brought her much joy.

On December 17, 1957, Becky married Ronald McGee in Las Cruces, New Mexico. They shared 54 wonderful years together before Ronald’s passing in 2011. She was also predeceased by her loving parents, Lenny and Lorene (Beckham) Fisher.

Becky is lovingly remembered by her children, Michael (Toni) McGee and Deborah (David) Lehmann; grandchildren Jenneal Needs, Amanda (Jeremy) Flynn, Stephanie (Colton) Kessler, Ashley (Aaron) Wilson, Jay Wessels, MegAnn (Kyle) Wessels, Lyndsay Walsh, Megan (James) Walsh-Sand, Stephanie (Cameron) Lehmann, Jake Lehmann; along with fourteen adoring great-grandchildren.

Her warm spirit and gentle nature will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. There will be a private graveside service at St. John Catholic Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials maybe directed to The American Cancer Society or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
