Barbara A. Behrens, 48, of Plano passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She was born July 28, 1967 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Clifford and Shirley Shannon Worby. She married Kirk W. Behrens on June 16, 1993 in Mazon, IL. Barbara was active in community committees like the Plano Community and the Smallville Superfest. She attended football games regularly to support her Plano Reapers. Barbara loved to paint, crafts, cooking, baking, but her greatest love of all was her family.
She is survived by her husband, Kirk of Plano, IL; her parents, Clifford and Shirley of Montgomery, IL; her foster mother, Mary Bateman of Elburn, IL; two daughters, Jessica Behrens of Aurora, IL and Kristina Korey Thomason of KY; one son, Michael Behrens of Plano, IL; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Kyra, Alyzabeth, and Kendon; one sister, Becky Worby of Montgomery, IL; four brothers, Barry Bridgette Worby of Seneca, IL, Brian Carol Worby of Streator, IL Robert Worby of Montgomery, IL and David Jessica Worby of Montgomery, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by foster father, Glen Bateman.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano.
