Arthour D. Wilson

Arthour D. Wilson, 61, of Sandwich, IL passed away, Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich. He was born May 29, 1956 in Portageville, MO, the son of John and Melba Evans Wilson. Art was employed as a head mechanic at Pete’s Fairway Automotive in Marseilles and Jim’s Automotive in Sandwich, volunteered at the Food Pantry in Marseilles, he enjoyed fishing, music, playing his guitar and grilling a good steak. His greatest love of all was his family.

He is survived by his father John of Sandwich; two sons, David Stephanie Wilson of Plano and Bill Wilson of Plano; two daughters, Amber Adam Darby of Sandwich and Dawn Jedlink of Sandwich; five grandchildren; two sisters, Kathy John Wagner of Sandwich and Joyce Jack Robinson of Earlville; one brother, Jeff Wilson of Ottawa and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother and one brother, John Wilson.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2017 until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials will be directed to the family.
