Arnold "Arnie" Allen Bark

Arnold “Arnie” Allen Bark, 72, of Somonauk passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb. He was born August 8, 1942 in Sandwich, the son of William Arnold and Esther Virginia (Belden) Bark. He married Mary Ann Hanouw on September 11, 1965 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Leland. Arnie worked for 10 years at CTS, assisted with Hollen’s move to the new building, worked at Aurora Cord and Cable and spent 10 great years with New Idea. His last and favorite position was as a grounds keeper at the Sandwich fair grounds. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, making cut outs of names for many people. He put together many model cars and could draw anything. Arnie’s greatest love was his family.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of Somonauk, IL; one son, Gary Bark of Somonauk, IL; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Somonauk with Reverend William C. Weidenbach, Jr. officiating.
