Arnita E. Magiera

Arnita E. “Arnie” Magiera, 73, of Sandwich, formerly of Plano passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at her home in Sandwich. She was born November 9, 1938 in Copley Hospital in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Charles and Hazel (Johnson) Johnson. She married William A. Magiera on July 12, 1958 in Chicago, IL. She attended Jacobs Well in Plano. She was the President of Klatt Fields in Plano for seven years and kept score for over 30 years. She enjoyed tending to her garden, flowers and baking. Her greatest love was her family especially her grandchildren and wonderful neighbors.

She is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Sewell of Plano; one son, Billy Magiera; of Plano; three grandchildren, Shannon Magiera, Jordan Sewell and DaKota Sewell; one brother, Tom Johnson of Sandwich, three special nieces, Anna Johnson, Theresa Bagg and Cozette Jones and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, Dee Webster; four brothers, Stan Johnson, Marvin Johnson, Robert Johnson and Forest Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano with Rev. Rob Hager officiating. Burial will be in Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home in Plano.
