Arlette Lucille Wold, 80, of Somonauk, IL passed away on Friday, December 14, 2007 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich. She was born December 09, 1927 in Baker, IL, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Anderson) Wold. She attended Baker schools until the age of 11 when she was stricken with polio. She spent 15 months at the Illinois Research Center in Chicago, IL due to her paralysis and then returned home. She resided with her parents in the Sandwich-Somonauk area until their deaths and worked at home taking in ironings and providing an answering service. After her parent's death she resided in the Somonauk Garden Apts in Somonauk, IL. She was an election judge for several years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and visting with her friends and relatives. She was a member of St. Petrie Lutheran Church in Baker, IL.
She is survived by one sister, Gertrude (Orrin) Gord of Sandwich, IL and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Anna Wold; three sisters, Myrtle Hanson, Burletta Johnson, and Della Voga; and two brothers, Marvin Wold and Laverne Wold.
