Anna Elise Danielson

Anna Elise Danielson, 20, of Batavia and Leland, IL passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 due to an automobile accident. She was born March 18, 1993 in Geneva, IL the daughter of Eric and Maria (Kawka) Danielson. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church of Batavia, American Quarter Horse Association, Illinois High School Rodeo Association and American Disabled for Attendant Programs Today (A.D.A.P.T.). She was a volunteer at Blazing Prairie Stars and Equine Dreams, after discovering it on her own at the age of 14. Anna was a proud graduate of Batavia High School in 2011 and was working towards her Masters Degree in occupational therapy at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. She enjoyed horseback riding, barrel racing, being on the farm, swimming, softball and helping the disabled but her greatest love of all was her family and friends.

She is survived by her parents: Eric and Maria Danielson of Batavia, IL; one sister: Karina Danielson of Batavia, IL; grandparents: Thomas J. and Bernadette Kawka of Orland Park, IL; three aunts: Lisa (Joseph) Gregor of Itasca, IL, Monica (Eric) Kantner of Downers Grove, IL and Melissa Kawka of Orland Park, IL; three uncles: Mark (Laura) Kawka of Palos Hills, IL, Michael (Gena) Kawka of Orland Hills, IL and Thomas P. (Dawn) Kawka of Orland Park, IL; many great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Shirley Danielson.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Batavia, IL with Msgr. Aaron Brodeski officiating. Burial will follow in Little Indian Creek Cemetery in rural Leland, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with a prayer service being held at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Equine Dreams, Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry or your local food pantry.
